UBHAS is a Social and Cultural Organization engaged in various Indo-Nigerian Social Activities started on 29th August 1999. UBHAS is the First Social Organization in Nigeria to launch its website www.ubhas.com online.

UBHAS was basically created to represent the North Indian States of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarranchal, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. It was to bring closer the North Indians of these states and to interact with them through their unique culture and language.

On 29th August the first ever non official meeting of UBHAS took place at Geeta Mandir, Illupeju, leaded by the founders: Sri Ravitosh Shukla and Sri Somesh Rastogi (South Africa), where the basic outline of UBHAS were discussed. Finally UBHAS came into existence after the joint acceptance of 28 members present at the meeting.
